BHCA leads the CBCR program to address crime in Hartford, with a focus on community organizing strategies. This program aims to reduce crime and improve community-police relations. To achieve this, BHCA closely collaborates with the Hartford Police Department, the city, Central Connecticut State University, and other community stakeholders. The program includes the formation of a team of young leaders, called C.O.R.E., aged 18-25, who use community organizing tactics to promote public safety and revitalize the community.
