Summer Youth Employment

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYELP), funded by Capital Workforce Partners, is our premier youth development program. It is not just another summer employment program. Using life-changing experiences, we provide opportunities for youth participants to increase competencies in the areas of: job readiness, customer service, basic skills, interpersonal communication, computer literacy, personal qualities, problem-solving and decision making, and financial literacy. This is accomplished through meaningful work experiences, learning projects, and classroom training.

After School Enrichment Programs

We have proposed to operate the sixth year of Extended School Hours (ESH) for 50 high school freshmen and sophomores from five Hartford schools. Academic enrichment and support will be delivered in a student-centered manner that enhances existing school services, increases parent participation in achieving each student's success plan while engaging staff and faculty.
