About BHCA's CRDA Program

The Capital Region Development Authority (CDRA) Blue Hills Employment and Skills training (B.H.E.S.T) Fellowship program. It is designed for Hartford residents between ages 18 and 24. The Fellowship is a pilot program designed to increase neighborhood safety and positive alternatives for at -risk youth in urban environments. The program is funded by the Capital Region Development Authority (C.R.D.A). BHCA's focus is primarily on coordinating, basic skills, life skills training, internships, vocational training, college readiness, and other wraparound services; assisting in employment placement in the construction field. Upon completion of the program, participants will be offered employment & retention services for 12 months. BHCA Staff members offer ongoing intensive case management, wraparound service, navigation of career clusters, and career and academic advising.
