Youth Employment and Training
Youth Employment and Training Blue Hills Civic Association (BHCA) in
partnership with Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) provides project base
learning and career exploration during the summer and school year for
youth ages 14-19. Summer Employment included in this initiative.

Please fill out the application and return it to the Blue Hills Civic
Association at 120 Holcomb Street, Hartford. We are located in the Potter
Hall Building of the Oak Hill School for the Blind.
What do we have to offer: ·
- Hands-On Training- youth receive job readiness and world of work skills
training to prepare them to meet employer expectations.
- Resume Writing- Youth will learn how to create winning resumes including
"Real Time" and "Dream Resumes."
- Employment- Summer employment with our area partners will help reinforce
career aspirations.
- Academic Assistance- youth will receive instruction in subject area
including Math, Reading and Writing to ensure graduation from High School
