The BHCA provides year round programming for youth ages 14 to 21. Our objectives focus on leadership training, career development, and job readiness skills. We are one of the largest summer youth employment agencies in the Greater Hartford area. Younger youth are involved in classroom activities, field trips and project-based learning. The older youth are engaged in meaningful employment and learning experiences. During the school year, we engage the youth in career exploration, employability skills training, project based learning and academic reinforcement.
The BHCA also provides services to young adults who are out of school. These services include career competency and life skills training, as well as national certification training in Computer Technology Training, Allied Health, and Green Technology. The goal of this program is to assist participants to attain education and marketable skills in order to be viable employment candidates.
