Security Deposit Assistance

This Fund will provide renters with security deposit guarantee.

The renter:

• Must submit evidence that family income would
  ordinarily be sufficient to cover a security deposit and
   first month’s rent, and reasons why assistance with
   the security deposit guarantee is needed.

• Must submit proof of all family income (one month’s
  pay stubs, or current benefit letter) and photo ID.

• Must provide in writing a description and proof of why
   you are in need of rental assistance, and why a
  one-time grant will be sufficient to insure rental in the
  longer-term.

• Must provide proof of a reasonable prospect of
  renewed income and/or health sufficient to maintain
  the  rental for the long term.

• Must be moving into an apartment in the Blue Hills
  neighborhood. (Must submit a letter from landlord,
  or proposed lease agreement).
