Employment and Job Readiness
To assist 400 residents annually to obtain employment, and improve access to job training, education and community resources by building capacity and connections with area employers. The BHCA offers comprehensive employment services that:
- Provides job readiness assistance - approximately 400 individuals annually.
- Assists in matching residents with jobs. Over 20 residents are provided with this assistance on a monthly basis. We hope to double that number in 2011.
- Provides training and apprenticeships in construction related-industries that lead to sustainable and rewarding employment – currently the BHCA has 25 individuals in a eight (8) week Brownfields training cycle.
Access to Recovery (ATR) III
ATR is a presidential initiative which provides vouchers to adults with substance use disorders to help pay for a range of community-based clinical treatment and recovery support services. The goals of the program are:
- Facilitate genuine individual choice and promote multiple pathways to recovery through the development and implementation of a substance use treatment and recovery support service voucher system.
- Expand access to a comprehensive array of clinical substance use treatment and recovery support services, including those provided through faith-based organizations.
- Ensure each client receives an assessment for the appropriate level of services
All services are designed to assist recipients remain engaged in their recovery while promoting independence, employment, self-sufficiency, and stability.
